In memoriam...

Two longtime Miami-Dade Public Library System librarians passed away recently. 

Via the Miami Herald: 

Irene Arnold Norris worked her entire career with the Miami-Dade Public Library System, and ended her time with the county at the West Dade Regional Library. She was a system wide resource for hard-to-answer trivia questions earning admiration from her fellow employees for her amazing memory skills. She passed December 21, 2013.

Richard Reed former acquisitions Librarian, worked with the Miami-Dade Public Library System until his retirement. He passed away just three days ago on January 3, 2014. 

Our condolences go out to their loved ones and friends.

Their longtime work and commitment to the Miami-Dade Public Library System demonstrates the dedication of library staff to their field. Please take a moment of your time today to remember them and their legacy.
