Majority of Revenue

When examining other methods of funding, its clear that nothing other than our taxes will be the majority of revenue for our Libraries. Despite recommending a flat millage in FY2013-2014, even Mayor Gimenez said so himself.

"[speaking on donations] I think that's great for, for, more, in other words, gravy. We need to focus in on the meat of the matter. And at the end of the day the county, we, the people of Miami-Dade county, will fund the vast majority of the [Library] System. I don't believe that in the end, we are going to be able to count on, we should not count on charitable donations to be part of the normal operations of the library, because if that dries up, we're back to square one."
-Mayor Gimenez, October 30, 2013
