Calling all volunteers

Your efforts are needed now to bring awareness to your community of the funding crisis that MDPLS faces for FY2014-2015.

The Board of County Commissioner's Finance Committee will be meeting on April 23, at 9:30 AM at County Hall -- and Libraries are first on the agenda to be discussed for the budget next year. That will be the time for residents to come out and voice their support for full-funding of our Libraries!

We are asking that you help us inform the public by passing out informational flyers and petitions!
In the link below, you'll find a form to sign up for a branch and time to petition in front of.

Petitioning is no easy task. We'll provide you with talking points in the next coming days for your advocacy.
If you need additional in depth information, see the facts here.

We will provide you with the flyers and petitions, clipboards, and a chair! All you need to bring is yourself, enthusiasm, and comfortable clothing. Feel free to bring a friend or two to assist you with this endeavor! Due to regulations, petitioners must be at least 25 feet from the entrance of the building.

See this form to sign up for a time and branch location.
If the link does not work, please copy and paste the following URL into your browser: http://bit.ly/1hXub0D

Once you sign up, we will follow up with direct correspondence to iron out any details.
