Breakdown of $64 Million

$64 million is not a number that is thrown about lightly.

When considering the money of taxpayers, one should always take a good, measured look -- and for the libraries that have been woefully underfunded for three long years, now is the time to fully-fund the system once more. Click here for the breakdown of the budget, proposed by the Library Advisory Board and our partners in the Coalition to Save our Libraries.

$64 million will allow for FULL-FUNDING plus additional, and dare we say it, necessary enhancements.

Additional funding for community outreach, close to $2 million for service enhancements and possible EXTENDED hours, and $5 million more for our withering materials collection.
