County Budget Town hall - Miami Gardens

Miami Dade County will hold 6 Town hall meetings, and two social media Town Halls -- all to discuss the County Budget that was proposed and then given preliminary approval by County Commissioners in July.

County Commissioners approved a slightly higher property tax for libraries -- not what we and our partner advocates fought for -- and yet, if we do not fight for every iota gained in July, we will face drastic cuts to the cornerstone of our community.

Each town hall should be full of library advocates, fighting and urging the commissioners to hold the line on their decision in July.

Will you make it?

Wear your CALM or Coalition t-shirt to show solidarity, and prepare to speak on behalf of libraries -- and any item on the County budget that you are concerned on!
